Mia gladstone (2022): diy zine making & bookbinding workshop

A pre-save campaign for Mia Glastone’s 2022 album, LOOPY, located at the heart of VCU campus. I had a free zine making & bookbinding workshop since Mia is an avid writer & a queer artist — with zines being a crucial part of queer visibility throughout history. I also provided vegan chocolate chip cookies since Mia’s also a vegan, and provided a discussion circle for attendees. Additionally, I passed out paper hearts with “POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS” based off of her song on the album then encouraged participants to write more affirmations for the next person to take.

julia wolf (2022): tote bag screenprinting activation

I partnered with the Highland Support Project’s fundraiser concert series to have a free tote bag screenprinting station for Julia Wolf’s 2022 single, Hot Killer. In order for people to screen print, they had to pre-save the single. I made screens that stated “Your mom is a (hot) killer” and posted a preview on the club’s socials and my socials the morning of the event. Students were lining up specifically for the table an hour before the show was even supposed to start, and completely ran out of my 50 tote bag run within the first 30 minutes of printing. We then started advertising that anyone who couldn’t make it in time could bring their own clothes to print on, and attendees printed the design on jackets, shirts, skirts, and more.

meet me @ the altar (2023): valentines day

As a pre-save campaign for Meet Me @ The Altar’s 2023 album, Say It To My Face, I ran a Valentines Day event located in the heart of VCU campus. I worked mostly on my own but spread the word throughout the art department in group chats/flyers across campus. I posted flyers up in academic buildings and busy streets, then on the day of the event I had people scan a QR code with the presave link to receive a valentine/tote bag. I wanted to engage with complete strangers passing by, and I think it was super successful! I gathered around 50 presaves total and it was super engaging on campus!

sir chloe (2023): “i am the dog” presave campaign & vinyl giveaway

I partnered with Lurch Festival, a 3-day house show festival that ran concurrently with Coachella weekend 1. I had a table next to the food/vending area with posters for Sir Chloe that had room to draw attendees as a dog. The Scooby Snacks and "Salivate" Themed cupcakes were a huge hit to gain traction on the table. To enter the giveaway, people were asked to text Sir Chloe's community and/or pre-save the album for an extra entry.
